Awesome RIO memories from the early 2000s for me. Imo, the best view of Las Vegas is at the rooftop of the Voodoo Lounge. This would be my spot on NYE!!

A Good start but there is definitely a long way to go. What is interesting they've raised about $800 million for renovations however are only spending $600. Unfortunally this seems like a flip job

The views at the rooftop is amazing. Food prices seem a little expensive but It would be worth it just to get that view.

At a time when Las Vegas is gunning to close down older hotels like the Tropicana and the Mirage, it's great to see Rio is being renovated. Looks like they've got a long way to go to bring it back to what it once was, but they're off to a promising start!! Thank you, Jay Jay!!

As someone who stayed there a few months ago, I am very impressed with the renovations they have done. The rooms are excellent & I appreciate how well the wifi works in the rooms along with the many USB charging ports. I also enjoyed Shogun Ramen & Tony Luke's in the food hall. Definitely going to be staying here again when I am in Vegas in mid August for my birthday.

Jay, when I first started going to Las Vegas in 2001 or 2002, my 2 favorite casinos were the Rio & The Palms. I can't believe both fell into such disfavor & disrepair. Glad to see the Rio is on the way back & the Palms didn't fall into disrepair; Station just decided they did not want it.

Yaaaaay such a great news! This excites me to visit Vegas again, i guess its time to use that 4 comp night stay Rio game me! :p

Don’t buy anything in Hawaii that you can get easily on the mainland, such as Frito-Lay chips. In California, poke is plentiful at Safeway and Costco and many restaurants. No need to fly so far for poke.

Question? Where do you buy your water and coffee for your room. When you stay on the strip or on Fremont you have the CVS or ABC stores. I stayed at The Rio maybe 20 years ago. I loved the Casino but hated that I had to take a taxi to the strip. Is it still like that? Love watching you!! Keep up the good work.

Hope they bring back the Seafood buffet considered by many as the best in Vegas a couple of decades ago

Stayed there last year right before renovations. I still appreciated it for the cheap price, free parking and easily being able to walk to the strip, but you could tell it was past it's glory days. Excited to see all the changes. I'm going to Vegas again in about a month and I think I have decided to stay at the Rio again, thanks for the informative video, like always I appreciate it.

I wanna go to that rooftop thing

So happy the Rio is coming back!! Looks beautiful. Have always wanted to try the Wine Cellar but not a wine drinker so thought it wasn't for me. Now I definitely want to try it. Spent my 40th birthday at VooDoo Steak and at VooDoo Lounge back in 2006. Had a great time but the Witch Doctor drink was a let down. My friends paid $26 for me to have this huge drink and didn't even get a buzz from it, and I'm not a big drinker. Looks like they improved it. Thanks Jaycation.

Iconic property, nice to see it getting some attention and retaining the theme. It being a Hyatt property is a win too… the points redemption value is really good. Some of the best views of the strip in Vegas.

Buffet long gone and replaced with those ridiculous food courts. Nope. Not gunna stay. I’ll go to MGM grand.
